NEW DELHI - Manufacturer Blackberry, Research In Motion (RIM) surrendered to the given pressure the Indian government. RIM also provides a solution to the problem.
RIM said it has provided access to the government of India to be able to get information from the service held at the RIM Blackberry, including information on the Blackberry Messenger consumers. Unfortunately this does not include access to corporate email services.
"We want to underline, once again, that the empowerment of access that we provide does not extend to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, which is basically a corporate VPN solutions," said the RIM as quoted by the Times of India, on Thursday (01/13/2011).
Previously, India has threatened to turn off the corporate email and instant messenger services unless RIM Blackberry open access to these services to government and legal interests.
The Indian government argued if the path or communication service that can not be monitored, it is feared could threaten state security.
But RIM is rapidly respond to this to avoid blocking the service in October last. RIM Blackberry agreed to open access to information and asked for the deadline until the end of January 2011.
