LAS VEGAS - Lenovo will focus on the tablet that cater to consumers, but do not forget to also see opportunity for companies dedicated tablet.
Taiwan-based company is promising will soon be possible to bring the tablet-based operating system from Android 3.0, or Honeycomb, the fastest middle of this year. For starters they will present a range of tablets Android.
Among them at CES 2011, Lenovo's first tablet named LePad show, which has a 10.1-inch screen and runs on Android 2.2. Lenovo IdeaPad U1 also shows the Hybrid, a device that turns into a netbook LePad. LePad serves as a monitor but can be separated as a tablet.
"We have LePad and will launch it to China. We also have a tabloid HybridHoneycomb, who finished from Google in May," said Rory Read, president and chief operating officer, as quoted by PC World, on Monday (1/10/2011).
Company officials also said they would launch a few tablets in the whole world Android this year.
Actually, in the past Lenovo has presented the tablet device to bring better tools to customers. Last year they showcased tablets with ARM processors and Linux OS. However, this tablet was never released.
Especially for LePad, the company also partnered with mobile operators and content partners in China to enter the local games, news and other content.
Read imagine tablets as one building block that will enable seamless exchange of information between devices. In the future, devices such as tablets, TVs, cameras and PCs will come together to enable the exchange of video, pictures and content with ease.
