SAN FRANCISCO - Computer sales penetration in Asia it is still good by Intel. That's why the company is still very optimistic, chip sales in India and especially China will conduct.
''So far I see the development in the Asia-PC good enough,''said Navin Shenoy, Intel's General Manager for Asia Pacific, told Reuters, who was quoted on Monday (1/17/2011).
Intel is known as the company that makes the microprocessor, which is the brain of the computer. Shenoy said in 1995 a resident of China took three years to be able to buy a computer. However, when the level of the country's economy sped, optimists would obviously be much higher.
Intel also has opened the first chip plant in northeastern Dalian, China late last year, to serve customers in the area.
In the fourth quarter of 2010, Intel's total revenues in Asia Pacific shot 57 percent and revenue grew 9 percent. While global PC shipments rose 13.6 percent to 346.2 million units.
However, this time according to IDC, PC sales will only grow 10 percent. This could not be separated from the impact of penetration of the increasingly eroded tablet portable computer market.
