DETROIT - Despite losing most of the sponsorship due to the sex scandal that destroyed his household, the former world number one golfer, Tiger Woods, still has the support of Electronic Arts Inc. (EA).
EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts game developer, is scheduled to soon launch the latest games Woods, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12. The plan will begin sales of EA Sports Tour 12 on March 29 in North America and April 1 in the world.
The game available for Wii, Xbox 260 and PlayStation 3, and displays the Masters Tournament at Augusta National National Golf Club, Georgia. While the version that does not display the Masters tournament is available for users of the iPhone and iPad, as reported by the Straits Times, Wednesday (05/01/2011).
Most of the box art for the new version of the game Tiger Woods is known not display the image golfers 35 years. But the president of EA Sports, Peter Moore has denied if it is done for the sake of keeping the company of Woods.
As well as Nike Inc., EA Sports continue to provide support to the Woods, irrespective of the sex scandal and his failure to win any tournament during 2010.
Previously, Woods has lost a lot of his personal sponsors such as Accenture, AT & T Inc., and Gatorade (PepsiCo Inc.). Gillette (Procter & Gamble) becomes the latest brand to leave Woods after the end of 2010 to end their cooperation.
